An Easy Way to Mount Fuel Tanks

1. After the metal castings are sanded smooth (remove the parting line) a scrap piece of wood is super glued into the cavity on the back of the tank. It can then be held by tweezers for painting.
2. When the paint has cured cut the wood off with wire cutters , 3. Smooth the wood down flush with the back of the tank, and then 4. super glue a piece of styrene on the back, either 0.015” or 0.020” will work.
5. Glue a piece of styrene onto the side of the frame where the tank will be mounted
6. The tanks can now be mounted using plastic glue which will give you time to position it the the proper position.
7. use a pice of styrene as a spacer so the tank isn’t tight against the bottom of the cab.
8. Shows the tank in place.
