Here’s some images of the Kit No. 95140 Mack LM set up as a lowbed tractor with winch, headache rack, and ramps to the fifth wheel. The winch mounting is scratch built as are the work platforms and areas for stowing blocking.

Both tractors have ramp system to assist in getting a removable gooseneck or high flat winched onto the fifth wheel. You an also see a fitting on the back where a pin is extended out to engage a “geep” dolly thus preventing it from turning when the tractor back up in normal maneuvering or when attaching to the tongue of the gooseneck.

Both trucks have the driver’s side rear view mirror extended far to the right i an attempt to enable the driver to see around the load. On the red truck I used a piece of the brass ladder to make the extension, on the green one I used styrene.

The red truck has the standard Mack I beam front bumper, the green one has a pipe (styrene tube). The green cab also has the exhust up over the cab which was done to get it out of the way where work needed to be done with blocking and getting th trailer hooked up.

The red tractor has a 192” wheelbase, the green is shorter at 168”, both measured to the center of the tandem. The tool box shown on the red truck is a urethane casting. I’ve got two of them, ask for the larger one, there’s no charge to regular customers when I send an order
