Tires rear are 14.00-20 with planetary drive, front are 12.00-24 on six spoke wheels, wheelbase is 195” The fifth wheel is Sheepscot’s 95901 with styrene brackets to allow it to rock front to back.
Fuel tanks are made of 0.3125” (5/16”) Evergreen styrene tubes for a better finish and the ability to glue steps on them. Air tanks on the left side are styrene rod 0.125” diameter and the battery box on the right is 0.188” x 0.3215” rectangular tube.
Direction signals on the front fenders are made of 0.060” styrene rod.
Headache rack in front of the winch is constructed of 0.040 x 0.060 styrene for the outside frame with 0.030 square horizontal bars to hold the chains.
Winch is a Sheepscot #85021 set on 0.125” I beams to gain height for a better pulling angle. Cable is thread wound on after painting but before mounting.
Rotating on the cab roof is Sheepscot #45264.
Paint is Scalecoat II S2016 orange and S2028 dark gray
The plate on the rear of the frame is 0.040” styrene with a bracket to hold the geep dolly in place (so it won’t turn) when backing up to reconnect the removable gooseneck trailer.
Rear view mirrors are standard Sheepscot as are the headlights and air cleaner
The model 203 Autocar is a heavier duty truck than a 103. The cabs are the same and the two models are hard to distinguish from each other unless you look at the builder’s plate in the cab or look closely under the front at the axle.
